Expressions tab

The Expressions tab lets you categorize your license documents by the types of expressions that they contain. For example:

You might use an expression with a type of Authorized Users to categorize the terms of a license that contain details about which parties are authorized to use a license.
You might use an expression with a type of Interlibrary Loan to categorize the terms of a license that designate any allowances or restrictions on interlibrary loan use.

By using expressions, you can break down a license document into smaller parts to make it easier to understand. If you use the Terms Tool, you can use the Expression Type to indicate whether the corresponding license terms can be displayed on the Terms Tool page. You can also compare terms from several licenses with the same Expression Type on the Expression Comparison page.
