Fields: Add New Resource

When you are creating a resource for the first time, you fill in the resource's basic information, such as the resource's Name, Type, Format, and Acquisition Type. Depending on the workflows that you have already configured on the Resources module Admin page, the resource will automatically inherit workflow steps when it is submitted. The workflow steps that are inherited depends on the three-way combination of Resource Format, Acquisition Type, and Resource Type that are selected when you submit the resource. If you save the resource request instead of submitting it, the incomplete resource is stored in the Saved Requests tab on the My Queue page, where it can later be completed and submitted (for more information, see Completing saved requests).
