Importing funds
You can import funds from a .csv file if you have a list of existing funds from another program that you want to use. The system expects your .csv file to follow a simple format of fund codes in the first column, followed by fund names in the second column. For example, a .csv file that is ready for import would be formatted like this:
LIT16,Literature Studies
Fund
ART16,Art History Studies
Fund
MATH16,Math Studies
Fund
ECON16,Economics Studies Fund
BIO16,Biology Studies Fund
CHEM16,Chemistry Studies Fund
NONFIC16,Nonfiction Fund
REF16,Reference Fund
FIC16,Fiction Fund
YA16,Young Adult Fund
KIDS16,Kids Books Fund
ADULT16,Adult Books Fund
DB16,Database Fund
EBK16,EBook Fund
Imported funds are added to your fund list. By default none of the imported funds are archived. Once funds have been imported they can be associated with cost history entries in a resource's acquisitions tab (for more information, see Editing a resource's cost history).
To import funds
- From Admin page, select the Funds tab.
- Click import funds.
- Click Choose File, then select the .csv file that contains the list of funds.
-
Click Import.
The import begins and the status of the import is displayed on the screen.
