Fields: Adding licenses and statuses

Licenses and statuses help you keep track of your agreements for a resource. Licenses must be created in the Licenses module before they can be associated with a resource (for more information , see). You can configure the licensing statuses that are available in your system on the Resources module Admin page (for more information, see License Statuses).

License Records

Begins with an empty field that can be used to assign additional licenses to the resource, followed by any existing licenses that are already associated with the resource.

Management Options

These options let you assign and remove licenses from the resource.

You can choose these options:

Option

Add

Lets you assign additional licenses to the resource.

Note: A license must be created in the Licensing module before it can be assigned to a resource. For more information, see.

Remove

Removes an assigned license from the resource. This does not delete the license from the system.

Licensing Status

Allows you to select a new status, and displays the history of status changes.

Status

Specifies a new license status. You can configure the licensing statuses that are available in your system on the Resources module Admin page (for more information, see License Statuses).

History

Displays a history of license status changes for the resource. An entry is created each time a new license status is selected for the resource using the Status drop-down list.
