Fields: Licensing module Home page

The Licenses module Home page displays a list of all existing licenses. You can use the search fields provided to the left of the list of licenses to help you find licenses that you want to view or modify. The list of licenses can be sorted using the sort icons displayed in each column.

Licenses list

Displays a list of all licenses in the system. By default, the list displays a limit of 25 licenses at a time before creating additional pages that can be accessed using the page numbers listed above and below the list. The display limit can be adjusted using the drop-down list located to the bottom right of the list. Use the arrows displayed in each column heading to sort the list. The list of licenses can also be narrowed to display a subset of licenses that match specific search criteria.

The list displays this information about each license:

Column

Description

Name

The name of the license.

Publisher/Provider

The organization that provides the terms of the license.

Consortium

The consortium that arranged the terms of the license, if applicable.

Status

The current status of the license. You can configure the Statuses that are available in your system on the Licensing module Admin page (for more information, see License Statuses).

Management options

These options let you edit licenses and search for licenses.

You can choose these options:

Edit

Clicking on the name of a license opens the details for that license. You can choose a tab to edit its settings. For more information, see License records.

New Search

Clears any search fields that are currently applied and starts a new search.

Searching options

These options let you filter the list of licenses by search fields.

You can use the following search fields:

Field

Name (contains)

Type any part of the name of a license, document name, or publisher/provider name into this field and then click GO! to search for licenses whose corresponding fields contain the entered text.

Publisher/Provider

Select a publisher/provider from this drop-down list to limit the list to licenses that have the selected value.

Consortium

Select a consortium from this drop-down list to limit the list to licenses that have the selected value.

Status

Select a status from this drop-down list to limit the list to licenses that have the selected value.

Document Type

Select a document type from this drop-down list to limit the list to licenses that have the selected value.

Expression Type

Select an expression type from this drop-down list to limit the list to licenses that have the selected value.

Starts with

Click a letter (A through Z) to limit the list to licenses that begin with that letter.
